According to Wikipedia, info-graphics are visual representations of information, data or knowledge that present complex information quickly and clearly.Info-graphics can be in the form of charts, line drawings, clip art or any computer-generated artwork. Info-graphics are used to give your articles clarity, color, eye appeal and your readers a better understanding of the facts and figures of the message you are trying to convey.

The following is an info graphic about smoking.  As you can see, the info-graphic makes the page come alive and it puts the figures in perspective. Reader’s are better able to study the chart and digest the information as opposed to just reading the statistics on a page.
