Advertising  uses three basic appeals:

  • Emotional – Emotional appeals are the most dominant.  These include appeals to your sexual nature, life instincts, death, and narcissistic tendencies.
  • Character – Movie stars, Political and sports figures.  People seem to want what they have; therefore, whatever they are selling, people tend to buy.
  • Using Logic and/ or facts, to make an appeal, which is the least effective of the three appeals.
This ad sends a strong message that obviously appeals to our sexual nature and life instincts…so Who wants to help save the Ta-Ta’s now?
